For this video asset, I was tasked with creating a reflective character piece for Tom Walker, a renowned bartender and winner of the 2014 Bacardi Legacy cocktail competition in Moscow. From his perspective, Tom narrates his career and how winning Legacy assisted in achieving his ambitions of living in New York City.

 

The film follows Tom to work where we see him create his Legacy cocktail "Maid in Cuba." He explains the influence behind this drink and how he's inspired by other bartenders and mentors, conveying the aspect of collaboration and education within the bartending community.

The script was written by Bacardi and Lab5, telling the story of his career and significance of winning the cocktail competition. We filmed the piece in his local coffee shop, bar and streets he normally walked to work. This way, we got the most genuine and authentic story possible.
